The Little Free Library

We have a Little Free Library located in the common area at the Longcreek Cul-de-sac. You can take books to read or leave books for others to read. Please remember this is a family library. It’s a great resource for anyone who loves to read.

Play Area

The common area at the Longcreek Cul-de-Sac is a great place with lots of things to enjoy. This area includes the gardens, a swing-set that includes a small slide, a tetherball, as well as the Little Free Library. We are also considering putting a picnic table here.

Gardens

We have several gardens at the end of Longcreek available for homeowners to use/manage. Croft Walker manages the garden space. If a homeowner has claimed a garden for the season, it is their responsibility to keep the garden and the surrounding area clean and free of weeds.

There is one garden that is marked as a community garden. This is available to anyone that wants to plant and/or harvest the items from this garden. This is the only one that is available to everyone. All other gardens belong to an individual family and no one else should be picking items from their gardens.

If you are interested in a garden spot, you can contact Croft through either NextDoor or via email (croftdottie@aol.com).

Community Pool

Come while away the summer in our beautiful neighborhood pool!

Walking Trail

There is a gravel walking trail that runs through the woods along the creek bank behind homes located along Longree, which is great for nature walks. The KUB substation is also a good walking area, including for your dogs. It’s connected via the Longcreek common area. You can often spot blackberries in the early summer.

Please note that the end of the trail opposite the pool is connected to private properties and everyone should be courteous of their yards when walking through them. In particular, the homeowners in the Mecklenburg cul-de-sac allowed a path to be installed through their yard to access the bridge leading to the Longcreek common area. While the homeowner doesn’t mind neighbors walking through there, please be aware that it is private property – it is not a common area, only a path to the common area. In addition, there is another commonly used path that neighbors are welcome to take on the opposite side of their home that leads to the pool, even though there is no stone path on that side of the yard. We ask that, as you’re using these areas, you please clean up after your animals, your children, and yourselves – generally speaking, don’t litter here, or anywhere in the neighborhood.
